Fresh and zingy green smoothie

Kale smoothieI think this fresh and zingy green smoothie is just wonderful.  It is more of an adult smoothie than a child one.

Fresh and zingy green smoothie

Serves: 1 glass
  • 2 handfuls kale
  • thin slice of root ginger
  • ½ stick celery
  • ~100ml room temperature water
  • 1 small sweet apple
  • juice of ¼ lemon or lime
  • 3cm or more of cucumber (optional)
  1. Blend together the kale, ginger, celery and water until well blended.
  2. Add apple, cucumber (if using) and lemon juice and blend well.
  3. Drink straightaway.
