Kale smoothieI think this fresh and zingy green smoothie is just wonderful.  It is more of an adult smoothie than a child one.

Fresh and zingy green smoothie

Servings: 1 glass
Course: Drinks

Ingredients
  

  • 2 handfuls kale
  • thin slice root ginger
  • ½ stick celery
  • 100 ml room temperature water
  • 1 small sweet apple
  • 1/4 lemon or lime juiced
  • 3 cm cucumber or more, optional

Method
 

  1. Blend together the kale, ginger, celery and water until well blended.
  2. Add apple, cucumber (if using) and lemon juice and blend well.
  3. Drink straightaway.
